I am ruffling things up in this super adorable, very comfortable dress, and I love that it has pockets. Did you notice that? Any dress with pockets can be a dress of mine. When first seeing this dress online, I knew it had to be mine. I would always go to the off the shoulder dresses section every time I went to the website, so that right there told me that I needed to make this dress mine.
I wore this little number this past weekend to a pasture picnic with my boyfriend (Michael and his family). His grandparents were celebrating 65 years of marriage. It was truly a beautiful experience to be apart of. His grandparents loved that I came to help them celebrate, but really I loved it more than words could ever express. 65 years of marriage is crazy, awesome, inspirational, and whatever other words come to your mind. A lot happens in 65 years and I was so happy to celebrate.
It had almost been a year since seeing his family last since graduating college, moving twice, and starting a new job in a new place. It was awesome to see everyone, and meet more members of his family.
The best thing said to me at the pasture picnic was “You would show up in a dress. How cute”. All I could do is laugh. Some of his family members already know me so well. I am never afraid to be over dressed, but after being outside for a while and the bug spray not working the best for me, I was wishing to be wearing jeans and a long sleeve. It was way to hot to be wearing that though, so really the dress was the perfect fit. Michael said I looked like Little House on the Prairie with my ruffles and stripes. I love that the fabric does have that old-time feel and the ruffles really add to it.
As always, thank you for reading.
