This post is different from most of my post, but I just thought, why not write and say a little about what is on my mind for 2016. I started this blog 7 months ago and I am so ecstatic that I did. I never thought I would be a fashion blogger I just thought it wasn’t me. I didn’t start having an interest in starting a fashion blog until two months before graduation and then I started two weeks after graduation. I was broke like every other college student, but I spent the money to do it anyways because I strongly wanted it. If you truly want it you will do anything it takes to have it.
Sometimes things just come to you strongly and it’s meant to be. I guess I found myself wishing I would have started earlier, but when I think back to it, I realize it would have never been possible. I wasn’t surrounded by the right people or the right influences to support me on top of going to university, being in a sorority, and working four or more days a week at usually one to two jobs.
See now that I’m sitting here and typing it out I’m starting to see how things really flow together, why things happen at certain times, and why I decided to start my blog two weeks after graduation. There couldn’t have been a better time then at that exact moment.
I don’t talk about him much, but I must say that my top influence to start this fashion blog was my boyfriend Michael. This man is a go-getter and wants everything his heart desires. He is so passionate about what he truly wants in life and will go to extreme heights to make sure that he is not miserable. What I mean by miserable is: working a job he doesn’t want to work, trying to fit in just to be cool, spending money on things he doesn’t need, and doing things that won’t help him succeed in the future. Many people try to do things to fit in with everyone else and he is the exact opposite and I am the same way.
I’ve learned many things from Michael, but the top 5 wisest things I’ve learned are:
- Use your time wisely.
- Always take notes.
- Read books of your interest.
- Sleep a lot.
- Working out fuels the brain.
I am going to take these top 5 wisest things I’ve learned and plug them into my life full force this year. I’m really starting to understand life and how it works. I have plans for myself that I didn’t even dream of last year at this time. People come into your life for a reason, whether good or bad, there is always a reason.
Michael has been a blessing in my life and I am forever greatful <3
