Okoboji,Iowa 4th of July

I hope everyone had a fantastic and safe holiday this past weekend. We sure do have a lot to be proud of and we should all show much appreciation for the ones that have served and the ones that continue to serve and sacrifice for us to maintain our Independence. It is a job that many of us couldn’t do so,” Thank You”.

As many of you know I did something a little different this year to celebrate the 4th of July. I traveled up to Okoboji, Iowa. It is in the North West corner of Iowa. Have you ever been to Iowa?Well if you haven’t I feel it is a place many people should visit. It gives you a different side of life. If you’re used to the city skyscrapers, areas that are grass deprived, or traveling only on public transportation. I would suggest you take a little break and go to the country side of things. There are beautiful sights to see as you are driving along wherever your destination may be. You would also go by many farms, fields planted with crops, and towns you would miss in the blink of an eye. But anyways on to talk about Okoboji….

My Okoboji getaway was everything I needed and I’m so happy I took the time off to celebrate and spend time with my amazing boyfriend and his family. Okoboji is part of the Iowa Great Lakes  with the largest natural lake being Spirit Lake. There are five interconnected lakes them being: West Okoboji, East Okoboji, Upper Gar, Lower Gar, and Minnewashta.

Iowa’s #1 Vacation Destination- Vacation Okoboji

There is literally so much you can do to never be board when vacationing Okoboji. There are beaches, many places to go out to eat, local shopping, Arnold Park Amusement Park and so much more. You could even rent a boat and travel from bar to bar with the boat, which is something I want to go back and do soon.
