1.How long have you been a photographer?
I have loved photography since junior high but decided to pursue a career in it around 4 years ago.
2.What or who got you started with photographer?
My daughter, who at the time was in cosmetology school, came to me and said “Hey mom, why don’t we do makeover sessions to raise our money for Relay for Life this year? I can do the hair and makeup, you can do the photos.”. So that is what we did. It was so much more successful than I ever dreamed. People kept telling me that I was missing my calling and I should purse this. So I did.. I am so thankful for those who encouraged me. I LOVE what I do.
3.How would you describe your photography style?
I would describe my style as Vivid, Clean & Timeless with artistic flare.
4. Are you willing to travel?
YES! I have a passport and ready for my first destination wedding!
5.Where would be your dream destination assignment?
Hawaii or Cancun – My husband and I went to Cancun for our honeymoon. It would be so awesome to photograph the beginning of a couple’s new life together starting out where my husband and I did.
6. What sort of work do you specialize in?
Weddings & High School Seniors
7. What type of camera do you shoot with?
I shoot with a Canon Mark III
8. What is your favorite photography accessory, other than your camera?
I would have to say my camera belt. It really saves me on long wedding days.
9. What gives you ideas and inspires you to create such great imagery?
Ideas and inspiration come to me from so many places. Movies, magazines & other amazing photographers across the world.
10. What has been your most memorable assignment and why?
I would have to say a surprise proposal. The guy hired me to photograph it. I drove to a place about an hour away where we took a horseback ride on a trail with about 6 other people which were actually employees playing along. I rode behind the couple and took pics of them as they rode. When we stopped for a break he proposed to her while I captured it all. Of course she said YES! 🙂
